Alfa Romeos sporty saloon the 155 is well equipped. Seen initially as a potential rival to the BMW 3- series the Alfa Romeo 155 is more suited to the saloon driver who wants to set himself apart from the crowd.

The 155 has the distinctive Alfa Romeo look but is quite dated by today's modern standards. All the 155's are well equipped. The second shape series the 1.8 features anti-lock brakes, a driver's airbag, power steering, alloy wheels, central locking, an immobiliser and a leather steering wheel and gear knob. Many post-1995 155s also feature an optional `sport pack with big wheel arches, 16" alloys, rear spoiler and skirts. Make sure any 155 has service history as a former owner may not have been an enthusiast giving the tlc this car really needs. Engines are tuned for performance but despite this problems are rare and this is a good every day car. Good power and sharp throttle with precision handling as soon as you touch the accelerator the 155 responds immediately. Cheapest options are the 1992 models but look at the updated 1995 generation which is a younger looking version. The 155 will set you apart from the general saloon brigade.
