Bentley - Arnage |
![]() |
Luxury saloon seen as a symbol of wealth. Large and imposing but doesn't match more modern rivals on equipment, price or performance.
| Exclusive symbol of wealth | |
| Effortless performance | |
| Luxurious and exciting to drive | |
| Price | |
| Huge running costs, 15 mpg | |
| Heavy depreciation in early years |
The Bentley Arnage is large, stately and very fast. Surprisingly agile the high seating allows an excellent viewpoint. The cabin is luxurious with leather and wood craftmanship and spacious. The body is large and strong and you will feel well protected inside as airbags and skid avoidance is lacking. Driving is effortless with heavy power-assisted steering making light work and the controls are easily laid out. The turbo engine copes with speed and the automatic transmission is smooth.
The Arnage is not cheap to run and predictably servicing, fuel consumption and insurance are high. Deprecation is high as the trade in value are cautious so recommend low prices and as yet the affect of VW buying Bentley is in doubt. Without doubt the Arnage is a status symbol but for cost versus specifications it can?t beat Jaguar, Mercedes or BMW.
