Kia - Cerato

Kia
2004 onwards
Kia - Cerato Aspirations to rival the Focus and it's competitors but the Cerato doesn't cut it. However, the Cerato does offer value for money and a high level of equipment but it's let down mechanically by it's rivals.
+ Cheap tp buy
+ Not bad quality
+ Spacious
- Noisy and mechanics lack finesse
- Poor interior quality
- Bumpy ride

The Cerato is a roomy family car which feels like Toyota's best-selling Corolla. While it may fall short of the Ford Focus in handling, ride and road holding qualities, it's very well equipped with powerful brakes and good safety equipment. The exterior and interior is attractivley styled and the interior quality is reasonably good. Ride is overall generally smooth but suffers overs bumps and un-even surfaces. Noisy engines and notchy gearbox. Performancs is lacking in basic 1.6 petrol, so if you want a petrol opt for the 2.0 litre it's got a bit more power but noisy with it. The 1.5 litre diesel launched in 2005 offers a cost effective 58mpg.
Not the best of it's class but a cheap option with good equipment level if you could put up with the noise.
