Ibiza is youthful and fun to drive, with enjoyably sporty performance versions. Budget models also make a lot of sense, as there's generous standard equipment and the quality stands out.

There's an Ibiza to suit almost everyone, powered by small petrol and frugal diesel engines right up to some impressive high performance models like the 130bhp 1.9 TDi Sport a range-topping sports turbodiesel model may sound odd, but it works very well.
Ibiza is competitively priced, and your money buys an efficient three- or five-door hatchback which has decent room at the front but slightly restricted head- and legroom at the rear. But it's reasonably refined, keeping wind and engine noise fairly muffled under most conditions. However the firm suspension needed to deliver such a sporty drive can cause comfort problems as it bounces over rough road surfaces.
Drivers sit comfortably and should approve of the simple, clear dashboard. Build quality is high whilst running costs are reassuringly low. With below-average fuel consumption through low company car tax bands, sensible insurance ratings and reasonable servicing, Ibiza could not be easier to own.
