Seat - Toledo Recommended. The unusual styling may leave many potential buyers cold. However, the versatile new Toledo has a funky feel that's bound to appeal to a younger audience.

SEAT's latest Toledo looks like no other saloon because it's actually a hatchback! The Spanish company has done away with the conventional four-door approach and just created a larger version of the Altea supermini, with a big boot. Unlike the old Toledo, this car has plenty of image and is a very capable family vehicle. There's a funky dashboard and an optional central storage box for the rear seat - although the trim materials feel cheap and flimsy. On the road, Toledo is sporty, with sharp steering and powerful disc brakes. The 2.0 TDi diesel is superbly refined, especially when mated to the DSG semi-automatic gearbox. High levels of equipment and very competitive prices complete the package.
