Alfa Romeo – Making a return to the US

Mar 12 2010 The famous car brand in Europe is making a return to the US market albeit in a restricted fashion with its launch of the 8C Competizione for the time being. They plan to go for a more aggressive launch somewhere in 2012. Its CEO was more sanguine about the fact that they now have a product that will be accepted much better in the US and Canada and hope to test the waters initially before launching it full scale two years from now.
They would however be backing even this initial sale through competitive car loan schemes as they know that is the only way to reach across to the consumer. Alfa Romeo is also expected to add the Guilia as well as the MiTo to its line up in the US and that is expected to provide good visibility to this brand.
The US market has always been a major one for auto companies and this return could be a significant milestone for Alfa Romeo, especially considering that its sales has been dropping drastically in the last ten years. In fact it has been able to sell only half of what it used to.
