Motorists looking to take out a car loan for a spacious model might want to consider the ALFA ROMEO 159 saloon.
According to What Car?, the model offers a range of good performing engines, with the lower spec diesel being a better option than its 2.4-litre alternative.
The car is also attractively styled and benefits from having a logically laid out dashboard and - as Parker's puts it - "charisma to die for".
Noise from the engine and outside the vehicle is kept to a minimum and the model also provides exact steering and good body control.
Achieving a top five-star rating in Euro NCAP tests, the car is fitted with front side and curtain airbags, as well as plenty of kit, including a CD player, electric windows, alloy windows, climate control and remote central locking for basic models.
Space throughout the model is excellent but the steering could do with better reach facilities to gain a more comfortable driving position, the reviewer suggests.
Drivers can get their hands on the model for £18,550 upwards.
