Audi’s latest initiative towards a cleaner environment

Many major car brands are doing a lot of stuff to promote a cleaner and greener environment through the introduction of smaller cars, concept cars and hybrid cars that have proven to be very effective in reducing carbon emissions. AUDI is one such brand that has always been at the forefront of taking such initiatives and that is also one of the reasons besides its obvious quality and style as to why customers do not mind making use of expensive car loan and Car Credit schemes to buy this brand.
The brand is now embarking on an ambitious project called Travolution through which they hope to reduce overall carbon emissions by making cars and traffic lights to talk to each other. They will be making use of a number of test vehicles and traffic lights apart from wireless LAN and other UMTS links to put in place a mechanism wherein the moment a car approaches a traffic light, the driver of the car gets a signal from the light instructing him to travel at a speed which will enable him to pass the next traffic signal without having to stop.
