GM Vice President bats for Audi

The auto industry is a tough one and brands are in fierce competition with each other in the market place. However, they do acknowledge the inherent strengths of each brand and often try to incorporate those into their own brand of vehicles. So it was not surprising when the Vice President GM Karl Stracke admitted that GM needed to perk up their interiors to match that of Audi. He was referring to the interiors of the Corvette Grand Sport and felt that it could do with a lot of improvement, though the vehicle itself has been registering good sales figures with many buying it on easy Car Credit schemes.
GM has embarked on a new initiative wherein its executives from the engineering department regularly test out vehicles of competition to pick out the positive features in these vehicles and consider incorporating them in their own vehicles.
That initiative is already paying dividends with the GM fleet undergoing many positive changes on a regular basis but the company is aware that a lot more needs to be done to really come to speed with some of the top brands like AUDI or BMW.
