Berry BMW has just come up with a brilliant plan to make the average driver’s life less complicated. They have launched a programme whereby you can book your car’s next service online, pay for it and then have the car collected, serviced and dropped off again – all while you are on a business trip or away on holiday.
The programme is quite aptly called “service while you fly”. It was developed by Progressive Automotive Solutions and enables customers to pick up a fully serviced car at the airport when they return from a trip.
All the car owner has to do is to make the online reservation. The company will then send a confirmation email. On the day of his flight, the customer simply drops off his vehicle at the Sofitel Hotel – a few minutes’ walk from the departure lounge at Terminal 5. When he returns, his car can be picked up at the Sofitel parking bay – once again in mint condition.
Dealer principal at Berry BMW Heathrow, Joe Dawson says “BMW has been showcasing this idea to all UK dealers at the annual conference in Beijing this month.”
He expects a good deal of interest from other BMW dealers. Even those who are not close to an airport can benefit from using an online service booking system.
A service such as this removes worries about where and how to get your car serviced without creating problems in your schedule.
