Citroen’s unveiling of the Survolt electric car

Nov 22 2010 It had to happen at some point in time. Citroen could not just watch others roll out their all electric car versions and keep away from the action. They have now come out with their concept of the all electric car in the form of the Survolt and an ‘arty’ version was unveiled at the 14th Annual event held by the car maker at its flagship store in Paris. Citroen also displayed the DS3, the DS4 as well as the C5 Tourer.
This vehicle would have a paint design by famous artist Francoise Nielly. It would have two electric motors giving an output of 304PS and the current would be supplied by the two well placed lithium-ion batteries. The acceleration from 0-100 would happen in less than 5 seconds and the maximum speed possible would be 260km/hr.
The charging of the batteries is quite quick within two hours and when you charge it through the conventional 220 V outlet, it would take 10 hours.
Consumers are sure to welcome this introduction from Citroen and would make use of cheap car loans to buy it.
