Tax offer for car finance customers choosing Citroen

CITROEN has unveiled a new method of appealing to Car Finance customers by offering a year's free road tax on all new sales.

Drivers will be able to take advantage of the promotion across the Citroen range, in a move geared to tempt a wave of new car finance applications for the company's models.

Citroen said it wanted to help motoring remain affordable in a time of rising petrol costs and economic uncertainty in the UK.

The firm said the idea would "come at an especially good time for customers in the wake of the credit crunch and rising fuel prices".

Car finance customers will have to be quick as the company also said the offer would only extend until the end of May.

The company's range includes the economical C1, C2 and C3 superminis, the award-winning Grand C4 Picasso MPV and the recently launched executive C5 saloon.

Citroen is also attempting to lead the drive towards more fuel-efficient cars, with models like the C1 achieving around 68.9mpg.

The company is part of PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Europe's second-largest vehicle manufacturer.
