The finance you need The car you want

Car loan customers looking for long term value from a new vehicle could go for a FIAT after the firm revealed the results of pricing research.

The company said specialists who calculate future used car prices have upgraded their predictions on what they reckon the new Fiat 500 super MINI will be worth in three years' time, which could attract some Car Finance applications for the model.

According to the firm, residual values on some 500 models have increased from 42 per cent to 46 per cent of original list price.

Adam Pumfrey of Fiat Group Automobiles UK said: "The residual value guides have reacted positively to the success of the 500 and have increased their used predictions accordingly."

He added there had been "a great deal" of interest in the Fiat 500, particularly from firms operating company car fleets.

Fiat recently recruited TV star Christopher Ellison, who played DI Burnside in ITV's The Bill, to launch the Bravo Challenge, an initiative designed to prove how good the hatchback is on the open road.
