Car loans customers invited to buy online

Secured Car Loans customers are being invited to buy their new vehicle online by manufacturer Fiat.

A special edition of the firm's popular 500 city car is to go on sale exclusively through the internet.

With a limited run of just 10,000 examples, the 500byDiesel could have car loans customers scrambling to get their hands on one of the vehicles.

Part of a link-up between FIAT and fashion label Diesel, the model is designed to offer a car that is "perfect for town traffic", yet also expresses its own personality.

Those applying for Car Finance to purchase the vehicle will now be able to configure their choices, make their payments and track the car's progress all from behind their own computer screens.

Elena Bernardelli, marketing director of Fiat UK, said the new route represented "an exciting and futuristic development" for the company.

The 500byDiesel is available in metallic green, black or brown, with prices starting from £11,150.

Fiat recently extended its Bravo mid-size hatchback range, which now benefits from a new 165 bhp 2.0 Multi Jet engine.
