A number of cars from top manufacturers, which could be bought during Car Loans, are set to avoid charges related to traffic in London when the new scheme is introduced.
Fiat, RENAULT and BMW have all revealed that a host of their vehicles will be exempt from the new congestion charge due to the cars generating less than 120g of CO2 per kilometre.
BMW 118d three- and five-door models, MINI Cooper D and MINI Cooper D Clubmans, as well as new FIAT Bravos, Grande Puntos, Pandas and 500s will be exempt from the charge.
Renault, meanwhile, has said that 31 of its models will avoid paying the emissions-related congestion charge.
"Fiat is determined to lead when it comes to environmentally-friendly motoring," said Elena Bernardelli, marketing director of Fiat Group Automobiles UK. "And these new rules enable our customers to save money as well as feel better about our environment."
BMW has said that it stands alone on being able to combine fuel economy and low emissions alongside "improvements in output and performance".
It is estimated that 17 per cent of the cars that enter central London each day will pay the increased congestion charge.
