Why would you want to buy a celebrity car?
Jul 21 2010It is quite amazing that people continue to or are willing to spend a lot of money just to own celebrity items. While this is understandable and even feasible when it comes to soccer star jerseys and such smaller items, it beats rational thinking when people are willing to spend enormous money on auctions to buy a car that was earlier owned by a celebrity.
It is not as if the driving pleasure is enhanced when you buy a celebrity FIAT car making use of some Car Finance credit scheme or car loan. In fact, invariably, you would end up paying far more than what another similar car would have cost and even the veneer or gloss of driving a celebrity car is bound to come off after some days.
This craze or rather irrational behavior is not restricted to only fans. Car companies feel pretty smug and pleased when some celebrity buys their brand and feel that to be a natural endorsement about its quality or panache. Surely, we as people are not that naïve to get impressed by such events.
