Car finance news: Caravan club names Ford among award winners
Sep 30 2008Car loan customers among those taking to the roads with their caravans may want to consider purchasing Ford's latest Mondeo, following the news that it has won a new award.
The Mondeo Titanium X Estate was named the best towcar in the £25,000 to £32,000 category at the Caravan Club's Towcar of the Year awards.
Roelant de Waard, chairman and managing director of FORD of Britain, said the company was "delighted" to have received the award.
Mr De Waard claimed he was pleased the car's "practicality, versatility and quality" has been recognised b the club's panel of judges.
"This is a hugely prestigious award which pitched us against some tough competition," he remarked.
He added: "The independent judges' decision confirmed what the growing number of Ford Mondeo owners already know about this exceptional family car."
Those with unsecured Car Loans aiming to find a vehicle with enough power to pull their caravan may be interested to learn that Grenville Chamberlain, chairman of the Caravan Club, described the Mondeo as a "very practical caravanning car".
Skoda's Superb 2.0 TDI was named the overall winner, as well as the best car in the £20,000 to £25,000 category.
