People taking out unsecured Car Loans to purchase a vehicle that will help reduce outgoings in the long term might consider the latest offering from Ford.
The new Ka, now on sale across the UK, could be the perfect option for cost-conscious motorists looking to beat the credit crunch.
According to data provider Cap Research, the vehicle will prove particularly valuable on the used car market, allowing buyers to recoup more of their original outlay if they decide to sell.
The Ka is expected to retain 39 per cent of its value over the first three years or 60,000 miles of motoring, with the Diesel Zetec model tipped to hold 41 per cent of its original list price.
All vehicles across the new range also fall into low insurance brackets, with the Studio model qualifying for the lowest rating available.
Cap's Martin Ward said the new Ka would be coming to the market at exactly the right time given the current financial climate.
"Customers are looking for economical cars that are cheap to run, fun and have great styling - [the Ka is] a superb drive for such a small car," he commented.
Ford's Fiesta ECOnetic, which also offers reduced running costs and low carbon emissions, arrived in showrooms today with the firm already experiencing high demand from car loans customers.
