Car loans customers can go green without downsizing
Dec 10 2008Car Loans customers who are seeking to reduce their impact on the environment without having to downsize their vehicle may have found the answer to their dilemma.
Ford's latest C-Max MPV delivers the lowest carbon dioxide emissions in its segment, the manufacturer boasts.
Emissions now total less than 120 g/km, meaning vehicle excise duty (VED) for the model is cut from £120 to just £35.
Furthermore, this figure will be reduced again when new VED bands are introduced next April, dropping to £30.
FORD caters for the needs of most Car Finance customers with its range of green vehicles, with the car maker pointing out that just over 50 of its models now offer emission of under 120 g/km.
This presents buyers with a number of tax, fuel economy and environmental benefits, it states.
The manufacturer recently advised that car loans customers could make savings of up to £500 on some of its models as a result of the 2.5 per cent reduction in VAT announced last month.
