Yet another soccer star who boasts of a car collection that would be the envy of anybody is David Beckham. The line up in his garage consists of two Ferraris – the 575 and 430, two Bentley Arnages, a cute Lamborghini Gallardo, a BMW X5 with armour plating, an Aston Martin and a majestic Rolls Royce Phantom. These cars reek of luxury and the soccer star has indeed come a long way from the FORD Escort that he initially owned and purchased. Of course, the soccer star would not have required any Car Finance arrangements to make these purchases given his phenomenal rise and popularity on the football field.
This trend of splurging lavishly on the best of cars seems more prevalent in soccer stars. Even at the height of their popularity, Spice Girls member Melanie Chisholm was content to drive a 1998 AUDI and what’s more did not have a driver. That vehicle ran up a mileage of over 79,000 as the band also continued its meteoric rise. It just goes to show that fame and money need not necessarily lead to splurging and there are many celebrities who have maintained a low profile, when it comes to their purchase of cars.
