The finance you need The car you want

Car Finance customers whose parking leaves a lot to be desired may benefit from new technology developed by Ford.

The car manufacturer has unveiled a new tailgate-mounted camera system for its FORD Kuga that is intended to reduce the number of blind spots directly behind the car.

Joerg Luemmen, systems engineer at Ford, said some people "lack confidence" when attempting to manoeuvring into tight spaces.

"The Ford Kuga rear-view camera helps drivers to reverse safely and accurately, providing a clear view of that critical area immediately behind the vehicle," he explained.

Car loan holders may be interested to learn that the camera feeds images to a seven-inch screen to show any objects behind the vehicle, while lines superimposed onto the image to highlight the width of the car and the path it will take on its current steering angle.

People taking out unsecured Car Loans to purchase a new car may remember recent news that AUDI has launched a new Parallel Park Assist system that actually manoeuvres the car into the parking bay.
