Over the years Ford has become a real stalwart in the UK car market. Its affordability and reliability combined with specification levels which you normally only find in more expensive cars has made it particularly popular among UK car loan buyers.
Owning a Ford has just become even more affordable. The company has revealed a brand new entry level Focus hatch that will provide buyers with an even cheaper option to become a Ford owner.
Pricing starts at £13,995. The new Focus, called Studio, will effectively mean the end of the Focus Sport, a lower-priced version of the previous Focus range that has been available since October last year. Ford sold 15,000 of them before deciding to replace them with the Studio.
The new model means Ford now offers UK car buyers a range of cars starting at £13,995 and going all the way up to £24,000 for the state of the art Titanium X model with its 6-speed Ford Powershift gearbox and its TDCi engine producing 161bhp.
Despite the relatively low price, the Studio still offers electric front windows, electric mirrors, air-conditioning, a radio/CD player with USB connectivity, a rear spoiler and 16-inch alloy wheels as standard equipment.
The car will be powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine producing 84bhp. According to Ford, fuel economy will be in the region of 47.9mpg. The Studio will be available in three colours: Moondust Silver, Panther Black and Frozen White.
