FORD Mondeo has always been a favorite family car in the UK. Ford hopes to tempt customers who want an up market family car, with lower tax bills. The Ford Mondeo Titanium will emit 139g/kg instead of 154g/kg. The equipment list is quite lavish with rain sensing wipers, automatic headlights, rear air conditioning vents, puddle lights, front SEAT lumbar support, sports front seats, electric folding door mirrors, leather covered gear knob and handbrake lever and rear power windows. The power comes from the same diesel engine used in the ECOnetic model.
The 2.0L generates 115bhp instead of 140bhp. The estimated annual road tax saved will be approximately three hundred pounds a year as the low emission Ford Mondeo Titanium will be in the 18% tax bracket for the current year. The standard Titanium falls in the 21% tax bracket. Buyers planning to buy a Ford Mondeo Titanium will need to rework their Car Finance to buy the low emissions model. The low emissions and lavish equipment comes at a price. Looking at Ford Mondeo´s popularity customers will gladly arrange the extra car finance needed to buy this family favorite. The low emission Ford Mondeo Titanium is available as a hatchback and estate.
