Fords Explorer launch in 2011
Aug 29 2010 FORD has been pretty active in coming out with new models and the good news is that the market has also been responding positively to these models with many consumers buying them outright or through some Car Finance or car loan scheme.
The 2011 Explorer promises to offer a much better fuel economy of almost 30% and this means that the consumer would get a city mileage of 18mpg and a highway efficiency of 26mpg. These are no doubt impressive figures and possible also due to the EcoBoost engine.
The company is maintaining that its new two litre engine would not be lacking in power and will be able to deliver the 210hp output as expected. This SUV would also have a six-speed transmission that would be automatic along with two camshaft timing.
It is expected to hit the roads sometime in this year and customers would be keen to test out the power assisted steering that derives its power electrically, the quick engine warm-up and the very first implementation of the variable-displacement compressor for the air conditioner. A combination of all these make for greater efficiency, mileage and comfort while driving to the consumer.
