Ford's latest Mondeo Hatchback is a family-friendly model with plenty of space and a good range of engines, one reviewer claims.
According to What Car?, the car is safe and comfortable, boasting a line-up of nine engines, with the 2.0-litre turbodiesel expected to be the shining star of the range.
While the ride is not as sharp as it once was, this is made up for in terms of smoothness and comfort, with little wind noise creeping into the cabin.
However, the size of the car sometimes makes it difficult to judge the whereabouts of the extremities, but a good driving position with a range of adjustment helps.
Electronic stability control and seven airbags are fitted to the model as standard and equipment includes a CD player, air conditioning, front electric windows, remote central locking and cruise control - all for a price starting at £15,195, Car Finance holders may be interested to read.
The model fits into insurance groups seven to 14 and boasts split folding rear seats to increase interior size even more.
