Mondeos 'a good price for used car hunters'

Car Finance customers could be among the many used car buyers who are looking for 2007 FORD Mondeos on forecourts.

Research from car hypermarket group Carcraft has said that the Mondeo 1.8 LX has the highest depreciation rate of the 2007 cars that are beginning to appear as used cars on forecourts, already losing 51 per cent on its cost as new.

According to the group, a 2007 VAUXHALL Vectra 1.8 VVT SRI would cost 50 per cent of its brand new price if bought used, with such cars readily available on the market.

"Over recent months the volumes of three to six month old cars in stock have reached an all time high, meaning that customers have more choice than ever before when it comes to finding quality used cars," Carcraft managing director Barry Nightingale said.

The 2007 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 SXI has depreciated by 41 per cent, meanwhile, taking the price of a used version of the car to £8,699, a price that may interest car loan customers.

Carcraft was established in 1951, according to the organisation's website, with the network now comprising ten sites.
