The UK's best-selling car - the FORD Focus - is set to retain up to £500 more in value when versions of the latest model enter the used vehicle market.
Motorists looking for the best residual value for a vehicle may want to consider spending their car loan on the model, with the latest generation set to be more desirable than its predecessor.
According to EurotaxGlass's, which put together the findings, the Ford Focus has been the UK's best selling car every year since 1999.
Johnathan Brown, car editor at EurotaxGlass's, commented that high sales volumes can put pressure on Ford cars' residual values.
"When the latest Focus hits the forecourts, however, stocks will be limited for the first few months," he stated.
"Prices will hold up fairly well, reflecting the low level of supply and the anticipated jump in demand for what many perceive to be a more attractive car compared to its predecessor."
Ford claims that the Focus combines precise craftsmanship with solid design and pioneering technology.
