Car Finance applicants debating which make of car to go for could choose FORD after the firm signed a deal with a leading energy company.
The car maker will supply 2,000 vans and cars to the UK fleet of E.ON after the company was impressed by the environmental performance of certain models.
Ford was chosen by the power and gas firm after a "comprehensive" international tender exercise.
E.ON UK fleet manager David Graham said: "Safety, fitness for purpose and environmental performance are the main criteria in selecting E.ON vehicles."
The UK E.ON fleet totals around 5,900 vehicles, with Ford making up three-quarters of the 3,100 light commercials, and more than a quarter of the 2,800 cars.
Over the next year the firm is taking on new Ford models including the Fiesta 1.4-litre Zetec five-door and the Mondeo Titanium and Titanium X cars.
Ford recently took the wraps off an all-new version of the Fiesta, featuring more power, lower emissions and a 1.60-litre engine.
