New Ford models get technical
Oct 16 2008 FORD cars are to feature a new range of digital gadgets, it has been announced.
The Ford Mondeo, Galaxy and S-MAX will now be kitted out with Digital Audio Broadcasting radio and USB ports so portable music devices can be plugged in.
Markus Pazina, Ford navigation and connectivity engineer, says: "We have paid special attention to making the systems simple to operate, so that drivers can access the music they want safely and with a minimum of fuss."
Some features of MP3 devices - such as track selection - can be used through voice-activated controls, the manufacturer states.
Those looking to buy one of the new Ford models are reminded to take out insurance for their vehicle should any accidents occur.
Ford Mondeos are available in 5-door, 4-door and estate models and boast "ultra-stiff bodywork" for additional safety, car insurance customers may be interested to learn.
Electronic Stability Programme is now standard across the range.
