Car finance products

Jul 7 2010 Considering the fact that the car finance element is such an important part of the entire negotiation process behind the purchase of a new or used car, it is quite surprising that many people do not devote enough time to understand it in greater detail. They prefer to just have a very superficial idea about it and tend to leave it to the car dealer to tie up a finance product for them when they actually buy the new or used car. The result is obvious. You end up paying much more than what is necessary due to the fact that car finance products outside the car dealer showroom are available cheaper and with perhaps better flexibility.
One reason for this apathy and neglect in trying to understand the various car finance products can be attributed to the fact that many of these products are filled with jargon and hard to understand. Many customers do not want to get into the numerical aspect of calculating interest rates either out of paucity of time or because of sheer lethargy and they therefore end up paying much more than necessary.
