However, the same buyers are not seen to be as sharp when they are in front of the car finance salesman and often end up meekly accepting what he or she offers.
One reason for this could be the general lack of understanding of how these products are designed with many not aware of the different terms and jargon used by the car finance professional. Others do not consider it worth their time to negotiate on small differences in percentage without realizing the tremendous impact this can have on their savings overall. Some others just do not want to talk numbers as they are uncomfortable with it.
Some of the points you should not forget to clarify are the rate of interest, the annual percentage rate being applied, any penalties or fees that would be cut if repayment is delayed or defaulted, details of the credit insurance, how soon the car loan would get approved and so on.
