Fixing the value for your used car

Jun 12 2010
When you wish to sell off your used car, it is up to you to determine a fair value for your car and you can do that based on the condition of the car. In fact when a potential buyer asks you the question of how you would like to rate your car, then you need to be prepared with an answer along with solid reasons as to why you are assigning a particular value to your car. This will make the deal a transparent one and it is up to the buyer to either agree with you or not.
You will at least have the conviction to demand the appropriate price for your used car and not ask for a price based on hearsay or from what you have picked up from the usual classifieds for similar cars.
As mentioned, the condition of the car will determine its value and in the case of an excellent car, it is the condition of the engine, the way the maintenance records have been kept, the treading of the tyres with no uneven patterns and the overall exterior as well as interior condition of the vehicle that will lend it value. So the engine must run well, the paint of the car must have no flaw and should be free from any dings. The title must be clear as well.
