That is because we trust them so much that we feel they would always act in our best interest. Though they are supposed to do that and many do, there are others who would like to take advantage of your trust in them and make you buy things that you may not otherwise have thought of. This leads to you helping them make a nice commission at your cost.
Here’s how they make you pay extra.
The VIN etching service is a good one to have but if the dealer decides to charge you a nice premium just because you are getting it done by him, you must refuse since you can get the same done outside at a much lesser price.
Similarly, the car finance schemes suggested by the dealer may not always be at the best possible rate of interest. Unfortunately, many consumers do not bother to do their homework and end up getting sucked into a finance scheme which is not in their best interest.
