It is quite strange that people wanting to buy a new car are more concerned and conscious about the model they want to buy and the features rather than how are they going to arrange for its finance. This invariably leads them to the dealer showroom without any prior preparation and the dealer then takes them to the cleaners in quoting high interest rates for the Car Finance deal he has on hand.
Many allow themselves to be ripped off in this fashion also due to lethargy in working out the appropriate finance deal for themselves. Some do not understand car finance and its jargon and hence do not wish to get bothered with the details despite knowing that they would end up paying a lot more at the dealer than what is available outside.
Considering the fact that there are so many options now available for the consumer with lenders even willing to come out with tailor made schemes, it is up to the consumer to take full advantage of this facility. After all, whatever you save by negotiating hard with the dealer on the car price need not be given away for nothing.
