The bad credit car loan

Jun 5 2010 What do you do if your credit report is a negative one and there is not much you can do immediately to change it and you require a car loan urgently?
Well, all is not lost and you can still avail of a car loan from lenders who would be willing to advance them, but at a cost that is far higher than normal. That is a logical and natural thing for them to do considering that they are taking a calculated risk lending you the money despite a poor credit report and would want to be suitably compensated.
From your perspective, you should not be minding this much since you are at least getting the much required funds for your immediate need and as long as you make the necessary repayments as per the schedule; you could even be contributing to the improvement of your credit report over time.
You can make things easier for yourself by offering a strong collateral, making a high down payment or by getting along somebody to cosign so that the lender feels comfortable to lend you the money at the normal rate of interest.
