It is therefore imperative that you select a car finance arrangement that is equally competitive and you do not end up paying more. This will nullify the advantage you gained while negotiating the purchase price of the car.
So how do you protect your interest?
Well, your car dealer is the last person you should turn to for a car finance product as he is the first one to make up the money he supposedly lost in giving you a better deal on the finance product. You therefore have to compare car finance rates and have a ready reckoner with you before you take up the offer from your dealer.
When you are about to buy from a private seller, make sure you have the finance part tied up so that you can conclude the transaction quickly and that is something even the seller would appreciate.
