Car insurance customers may be interested to learn that the Met Office has issued further warnings over the severe weather conditions being experienced in the UK.
Gales reaching up to 80 mph have hit the UK, which may be hazardous to drivers, the organisation has warned.
Motorists should take extra care on the roads this week due to damaging winds and snow across parts of northern England and southern Scotland, according to Brian Golding, head of forecasting at the Met Office.
It has been advised that people should regularly check their local television and radio forecasts before heading out on the roads.
Derek Turner, director of traffic operations at the Highways Agency, commented: "I strongly advise all road users to check the latest information on weather and road conditions before starting their journeys."
Recent months have seen several warnings from the Met Office that have affected car insurance customers, ranging from ice and snow to flood risks and strong winds.
