It´s heartening to see NISSAN entering the zero emissions auto world with a proper family hatchback. Some of the electric cars seen on the roads today remind one of the bubble cars of the fifties. The Nissan Leaf can SEAT five persons has a reasonably sized boot and can be driven for a 100 miles with a full charge. The car has a battery pack, an electric motor and a socket for charging.
It does not have a tail pipe even. The Nissan Leaf will get fully recharged in 8 hours and a quick charge will recharge it to 80% within 30 minutes. The Nissan will drive like a regular hatchback sans a gear lever. Nissan has announced that the car will go on sale some time next year. Here is a car that will definitely generate a lot of interest among potential customers. The Nissan Leaf promises potential saving in road tax, in parking charges and zero fuel costs. Nissan has not yet announced the price of this car. Therefore it would be a bit ambitious to start looking for Car Finance right now. The Nissan Leaf is bound to have a number of customers lining up at the dealers showrooms once they start taking orders. That would be the right time to arrange car finance.
