Unsecured Car Loans customers looking to help preserve the residual value of their vehicles can do so by taking better care of them, a firm has suggested.
Armor All advised motorists that, in the face of winter weather, a series of simple steps could be taken to help keep their vehicles in top shape and preserve their value.
Preparing paintwork against the harsh conditions would ensure long-term protection and guard against rust and unsightly blemishes, it suggested.
Meanwhile, regularly cleaning valuable alloy wheels to remove residue from the roads also helps to improve the vehicle's appearance and sell-on value.
"A clean car looks like a cared-for car and will be worth far more when the time comes to sell," said Simon Walsh, general manager of Armor All Europe.
According to data released by Manheim Auctions earlier this week, used car prices fell by 4.4 per cent to £6,002 in October, meaning Car Finance customers may be especially keen to take care of their vehicles.
