Honda’s new roadster plans

Aug 14 2010
News from the patent filings indicates that Honda may already be working on bringing out a substitute for the Honda S2000 with the engine being placed at the center. This roadster is expected to be a hybrid model and experts believe that if Honda is thinking of replacing the S2000, it needs to ensure that the new model is very special and also have to be competitively priced so that people can afford to buy it through appropriately designed car credit finance schemes.
Honda has been actively supporting and trying to bring out models that are fuel efficient and it will therefore be no surprise if this news of the roadster being a hybrid model is confirmed. Reports also indicate that the company would be making use of a lot of parts from their existing models and would use aluminium to a great extent to keep the weight to the minimum. The platform used would be similar to the one used for Honda Jazz.
Experts are hoping the new car would have a high performance electric motor and a petrol engine far more powerful to the CR-Z.
