Land ROVER will be exhibiting its compact SUV coupe with front-wheel drive for the first time in the month of September this year in the motor show at Paris. This C-segment LRX will be manufactured next year and the front wheel version will be available along with the all-wheel drive model of LRX. The four wheel model will be having a 2.2 litre engine running on diesel and capable of delivering 185bhp. It will also have a 6-speed gearbox that will be manually operated, though the automatic transmission version is also expected to follow soon.
This front-wheel model is also expected to bring down CO2 emissions. Land Rover has announced that it will be seeking a new name for the model and the current LRX is just a temporary one. It might refer to it as the Range Rover Compact.
The prices are expected to be around the £35,000 mark for the base model of the all-wheel drive while the front-wheel drive will start at £30,000. Consumers will have the option of going for car loan schemes that will be made available at the dealers.
