Land Rover triumphs at used car awards
Sep 18 2008Land Rover's Discovery 3 has been named the winner of this year's Auto Express used Car Honours Premium SUV category.
The publication's judges ranked the car above the VW Touareg and the VOLVO XC90 to win the prize.
John Edwards, managing director of Land ROVER UK, described the Discovery 3 as an "outstanding vehicle" and said it had achieved "widespread acclaim".
"Owners who contributed to the 2008 Auto Express Driver Power survey earlier in the year praised its ride and handling, comfort levels, usability and ease of driving," Mr Edwards stated.
For those conducting a Used Car Search for a 4x4, the Discovery 3 may prove to be an "ideal" purchase, he added.
Last month, Land Rover announced that it would be supporting Rugby Union in England with the launch of the new Land Rover Premiership Cup.
The four-year deal will also see the company supply a number of vehicles to the 12 Guinness Premiership clubs' community teams.
