Better awareness among celebrities to go green

Apr 10 2010 The world is becoming a better place or so it would seem with so many celebrities deciding to go green and deciding to put their money where their mouth is. There has been a lot of talk over the years about the ill effects of global warming and the ozone layer, but very little concrete action was being accomplished either in the form of legislation or in the form of drastic changes in the design of automobiles – the main pollutants and consumers of fossil fuel. Auto makers were content to push sales of conventional vehicles through aggressive car finance schemes.
However, some of the more well known auto companies like Toyota did their bit in coming out with the hybrid car and after that, alternate fuel cars have started becoming very popular backed by many celebrities. They realised that their choice for going green also made political sense and thanks to the very exclusive nature of this new found passion and commitment, they took to it quite aggressively.
The Toyota Prius has got to be one of the most loved cars, thanks to its early entry in this market. Some of the well known owners of this vehicle include Julia Roberts, Kirsten Duns, Ryan Gosling and many more.
