Birdman Swaps Exelero for Bugatti

A while ago we wrote about Bryan Williams, better known as Birdman, buying himself an Exelero.  That was in February and it seems the American rapper has quickly tired of the Exelero, as he recently added another car to his already impressive collection.  This time it was a Bugatti Veyron.  While cheaper than an Exelero, it is nevertheless an impressive piece of machinery and remains outside the reach of the average car loan buyer.

Birdman seems to have a peculiar liking for the colour red.  His new $2 Veyron is flame red – as is his helicopter.  In his own words “Red is a fly colour.  It’s hot; represents heat.  It’s the flyest colour out there and it just blinds me.”

We can only hope the red Veyron doesn’t blind Birdman too much – he will, after all, be driving a W16 super-car with four turbos pushing out an impressive 1001bhp.

It is rather funny, but the rapper is adamant that he is not really into fast cars.  He admits having done a mere 160 mpg on the Interstate on his way to a Heat game, but apart from that, he says “I don’t really play with speed.  I ain’t one of them that play in that world.”

He says he only drives a Veyron because it’s “fly” and “expensive,” and is also the “fastest car in the world.”  He concluded by again reiterating that he “don’t like playing with too much speed.”

Perhaps Mr. Williams is right.  It could also be, however, that his perception of speed and ours are just a little bit different.
