Scottish actor David Tennant has been named the greenest star at Playhouse Disney's Playing for the Planet Awards.
When not travelling through endless time and space in his tardis, the Dr Who star drives around in a hybrid car after choosing a more environmentally-friendly option over his Skoda.
Awards judge and ambassador Peter Duncan said: "I am delighted that David Tennant has won the Greenest Star award - he's a great role model for kids everywhere and clearly is as passionate [about] saving the planet as his character 'The Doctor'."
Tennant, who is currently playing Hamlet with the Royal Shakespeare Company, was nominated for the eco-friendly celebrity award alongside Madonna, Johnny Depp and Sienna Miller.
Motorists looking for eco-friendly cars for sale may be interested to know that Toyota's hybrid Prius was ranked highly in the JD Power and Associates Customers Satisfaction surveys in Germany, France and the UK.
