Car Finance customers thinking of buying an eco-vehicle could be interested in a survey showing the environmental issue is dividing the opinions of car drivers.
New eco vehicle firm Liberty Electric Cars has found people are prepared to pay 30 per cent for zero-emission cars, which could intrigue drivers approved a car loan for a hybrid or electric vehicle.
The firm also found nearly 50 per cent of people do not want to sacrifice a large luxury vehicle in favour of a green car.
Liberty Electric Cars boss Barry Shrier, said: "As car buyers move to more environmentally-friendly technologies they want the best of both worlds - cars that deliver on performance, safety, functionality and style, without the high cost to the environment."
Mr Shrier's company is working on a zero-emission Range ROVER capable of travelling 200 miles on an electric motor, or further with the help of an on-board generator.
