It is not very often that show anchors become so popular that they are chosen over others in a poll conducted. Jeremy Clarkson, who presents the immensely popular Top Gear show, is one such anchor who has managed to come first in a poll conducted to determine the most popular celebrity house sitter. This anchor who has been talking cars and Car Credit finance matters to his audience really managed to achieve something that was totally unexpected.
He edged out people like Christine Bleakley, Cheryl Cole and Sarah Beeny in this poll that was conducted in Sceptered Isle in which over 1100 people took part. To think that he scored over both A Lord and Wayne Rooney is indeed quite something, though from the manner and for the reasons for which Wayne Rooney is making the headlines of late would definitely not make him a strong contender.
The result is all the more surprising considering Jeremy Clarkson’s past record of causing quite a bit of damage to caravans. To think that people still preferred him over the above names to guard their houses just goes to show how difficult it is to predict things when it comes to public opinion.
The expectation was that Sarah Beeny would easily make the cut, given her expertise and background in property related matters.
