Paparazzi Allegedly Bug John Terry’s Car

No honest footballer likes his car to be bugged – not even if he is in arrears with his car loan repayments.  This, however, is exactly what English footballer John Terry claims happened to him recently: his car was bugged by the paparazzi – and he does not even have a car loan!

This allegation surfaced in court recently when the magistrate prohibited the Chelsea football player from driving his car for 28 days and slapped him with a fine of £750.  This happened after he admitted to exceeding the speed limit with his Range Rover.

Terry was represented in court by Nick Freeman - a lawyer somewhat unkindly known as “Mr Loophole.”  The football player was not in court personally – he was “too busy” having a holiday with his wife.

Speaking to journalists after the court proceedings, Mr Loophole said that Terry was captured by a speed camera driving at 77 miles per hour in a 50mph zone.  This happened on the A3 in Surrey at the end of last year.

He claimed, however, that Terry had no choice but to accelerate because he had two photographers on motorbikes pursuing him.  He feared for the safety of his twins – a son and a daughter, who were with him in the car.

He added that Terry accepts that even the paparazzi had a job to do, but he was targeted to such an extent by these guys that he had no option but to make a complaint to the police.

After sweeping his vehicle they found an electronic positioning device that would have informed the individual who planted it of his whereabouts.
