The latest celebrity to invite police attention is Prince Andrew, who was supposedly involved in an accident, when he hit a police man en route to the Buckingham Palace. The media were quick to report the accident and claim that the Prince struck the officer as he was driving past the gates of the palace on his four-by-four that surely would not have been purchased under any Car Credit finance scheme.
Though reports from the palace suggest that the accident was a minor one, it was leaving it to the police to do its due investigation and go by the actual facts of the case before taking any action. The Police are of the view that the police officer was at Constitution Hill when he got hit and has reportedly sustained injuries to his arms which are of a minor nature. The Police have however assured the media that they would investigate the issue threadbare and come out with the facts.
The Prince who is now 49 years old has always had a very great passion for speed and cars. In the year 2002, he was speeding quite dangerously on his Range ROVER and was stopped by the traffic police. They however, did not press any charges against him. Since then, there has not been any other incident of recklessness on his part though.
