Rapper Charged With Driving Under the Influence in his Bugatti

Ordinary individuals with car loans and monthly mortgage payments to keep up already seem to know what rapper Flo Rida (Tramar Dillard) must still learn: one simply does not drive when you have had a few too many.

Flo Rida’s personal life hit a low on Wednesday night when he first had a “few” drinks and then decided to take his Bugatti Veyron on the road.  Apparently his driving style left a lot to be desired and police subsequently stopped him and summarily arrested him for driving under the influence.  This happened at about 4am in the morning.

The policeman who arrested him said Flo Rida was slurring his speech.  He also had bloodshot eyes.  When asked to do the breathalyser test, he reportedly said “Officer I can’t do this.  I don’t feel I can walk a straight line.  I had a few drinks.”  This, understandably, did not make things better.  When he eventually did the test, his alcohol level was at 0.185 – more than double the legal limit.

The rap star was then arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.  By this time a sizeable crowd had gathered on the pavement, enthusiastically trying to convince the police to let their hero go.  If there was any chance of that, it quickly evaporated when police found out he was driving under a suspended licence.  It seems Mr Rida did not learn anything from Paris Hilton.

Fans of the rapper do not have to lose any sleep, however: Flo Rida did not have any problem paying the $2,000 bail needed to get him out of jail.
